The National Response Center (NRC) website has been taken offline following identification of security vulnerabilities, and is now being rebuilt to meet new cyber-security standards. The website is anticipated to be offline for an extended period of time while a new website is built.
Anyone witnessing an oil spill, chemical release, or maritime security incident should make a report by calling the NRC hotline at 1-800-424-8802 or 1-202-267-2675.
While the NRC website is under construction, an interim website with Freedom of Information Act (FIOA) data has been established at https://cgmix.uscg.mil/NRC. The 2014 dataset will be updated on a weekly basis to capture new initial reporting data.
Official FOIA requests may still be submitted to the NRC via the U.S. Coast Guard FOIA e-mail address, firstname.lastname@example.org. Responses to these requests will be processed in accordance with the normal FOIA timeline.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We know many agencies and individuals rely on the information contained on our site. We are doing everything we can with our limited resources to bring the website back online. We ask for your patience during this long process.
Please send any questions- website related or otherwise - to the NRC via email@example.com.
