The purpose of this document is to present the user with instructions for utilizing the National Response Center download files. Each file is a spreadsheet for a particular calendar year and contains data related to incidents which occurred during that year.

These files are in Microsoft Excel format. With this format, the user can easily import the files into any third party spreadsheet or database software.

Relationships between the sheets are via the NRC Report Number (Seqnos). There should be an entry, and only one entry, in each of the sheets; CALLS, INCIDENT_COMMONS, INCIDENT_DETAILS and, INCIDENTS for every report. Entries in the MATERIALS_INVOLVED will normally not reside in MATERIALS_INVOLVED_CR due to the definition of the Type of Incident.  MATERIALS_INVOLVED_CR pertain only to Continuous Release reports. 

There may be many MATERIALS_INVOLVED, Railroad or Derailed records per NRC 
Report Number.
